Kreider-Groff-Aeschliman Europe 2022

We  rented a car from Europcar to drive from Germany to France. The gas prices (in Euros) are not wildly higher than in Vancouver. Looking for a restaurant for dinner, we walked along the Cours Charlemagne, a long pedestrian street with buildings which had old double doors, not all as elaborate as these featuring lions. One of a pair of lions that greeted us at our hotel on that street. by Janice

  Half of our group has arrived in Frankfurt. It is Spargelzeit, "asparagus time". You can see Evan in the background carrying his camera backpack, behind the blackboard sign. It is hard to believe that much of this city was destroyed in World War II, but this part has been rebuilt in the old style. My salad was perfect, with both white and green asparagus. by Janice
